HAVA was signed into law by President George W. Bush in October of 2002. The HAVA state planning process requires each state to explain how it will comply with a new set of Federal Election Requirements.
In Franklin County one of the ways we are in compliance is by using the AutoMark.
The AutoMark is a ballot marking device designed to provide privacy and accessibility to voters who are blind, vision-impaired, or have a disability or condition that would make it difficult or impossible to mark a ballot.
